My parents raised me with the wisdom of William Shakespeare:
"This above all: To thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night follows the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man."
My first truth is that I belong to God. I am a follower of Jesus and hope to live with his Spirit of Love and Light guiding my path, my words, my actions, and my art. My eyes see the world around me through the lens of faith. I see the Master's artistry everywhere I look in Creation.
My Second truth is inseparable from the first...I am an artist. My mom says I have been one ever since I could hold a crayon in my hand. I am wired by God to see infinite colors in the bark of a tree, or a meadow after the rain. I see people whose faces I wish I could paint. My attention gets drawn to the shape of the clouds and the colors of the sunrise. I am so thankful for this gift because it allows me to see beauty even in the ugly places in life.
My paintings are a reflection of who I am. I pray they offer you joy and peace.
